Moa Arts invited well-known and brilliant Torres Strait jewellery maker and craftswoman, Rosaline Tomsana, to the Art Centre in late February 2019. Aunty Rosaline facilitated the first ever Beading and Jewellery Making Workshop held at Moa Arts in Kubin for four full days, from Tuesday the 19th to Friday the 22nd of February.

Aunty Rosaline shared the basic skills on how to create wonderful traditional jewellery, which saw a group of new and experienced local women and artists learn new skills and develop further existing skills. It was a fantastic and creative time here at the centre, everyone enjoyed fun filled beading days, with singing and laughter filling the room. The women and girls enjoyed the sessions and created more then what was expected, it was a great success. Moa Arts and the community were honoured to have Rosaline Tomsana sharing her gifted skills and knowledge with us. Thank you Aunty Rosaline for a great week!
